Description
Chartham Community Farmer’s Market is run by volunteers from local groups including the Youth Club and the Over 50s.
The aims of the market are threefold:
· To give the residents of Chartham the opportunity to buy quality locally produced goods, whilst reducing their food miles
· To increase the sense of community within the parish by providing residents with somewhere to meet and chat with friends and neighbours
· To provide funds to support and expand the local groups, supplying further opportunities to promote community spirit.
We usually have around 12 –14 stalls selling a comprehensive range of goods. There are on-site refreshments available where we serve Fairtrade drinks and a selection of homemade cakes.
